“Gardens are sensuous sanctuaries surrounding our homes. Like a second skin they are outdoor extensions of ourselves, revealing depth and beauty. They can be magical playgrounds and transitions to the world at large. Gardens slow us down, delight and surprise us. They make us real, and often make our backs ache, and put smiles on our faces all at the same time. They can be romantic, inspirational, and downright healing. And while it has been said that “there is no money in poetry and no poetry in money”, gardens can increase the value of our homes substantially.”
